The Revival studio

Refuture Foundation supported The Revival, a Ghanaian not-for-profit led by Yayra Agbofah, to expand its pioneering upcycling work in Accra’s Kantamanto market—the world’s largest secondhand clothing hub. With a grant of US$7,800, Refuture enabled the establishment of a market-based workshop, overcoming previous geographic barriers and empowering traders. The Revival now transforms discarded textiles into protective overalls and high-end fashion pieces, strengthening livelihoods and reducing waste at one of the globe’s most critical textile choke points.
